Finding Hope in the Darkness
Sarah Johnson's Journey
After losing my husband to cancer, I felt like my world had collapsed. For months, I questioned my faith and wondered where God was in my pain. The members of Woodland Baptist surrounded me with love when I couldn't even pray for myself.
Through a grief support group at church, I slowly began to heal. I remember one Sunday when Pastor Mike spoke about God's presence even in our darkest valleys—it was as if he was speaking directly to me. That day marked a turning point in my journey.
Today, three years later, I lead our church's grief ministry, helping others find the same comfort I received. My faith is stronger now, not despite my loss, but because I experienced God's faithfulness through it.
